As a painter, printmaker and collage artist, I started creating personal collages as gifts for my family and friends — starting with my grandchildren. The response was so positive that I decided to share my work more widely with others who may want to give a gift that stands apart from more standard options. With that encouragement, Custom Collages by Merrilee was born.

Whether you’re celebrating a milestone in someone’s life or simply capturing their essence at a moment in time, my custom collages are heartfelt, personal and truly one-of-a-kind.

Each piece begins with a phone or online conversation to learn about the subject’s interests, passions and personality. From a selection of digital photos you provide, I choose one that will best serve as the foundation of the collage. My goal is to capture the person thoughtfully and lovingly in a single moment. The finished collage becomes a personal visual narrative — perfect for birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, retirements, memorials, or “just because.”

• I provide all materials needed to curate and create the collage.
• You can choose to receive your piece framed or unframed.
• Collages can be made in virtually any size, starting at 8 x 10 inches. Pricing depends on size, complexity, framing, and shipping.
• The minimum charge is $75 for one collage.
• Payment can be made via Zelle or Venmo.
• I delete all the photos you send me once your collage is finished, and I’ll only share your artwork if you’ve given me written permission.
