WHEN I PHOTOGRAPH ROCK LANDSCAPES, I try do more than record their shapes — I want to document the slow work of wind, water and time. Some images approach abstraction, while others resemble sculptures formed by erosion. What interests me most are the grains and shadows — evidence that beauty in nature often emerges quietly, through subtle, timeworn, and enduring forms.
